CooperCompanies Job Postings Fall in Connecticut

CooperCompanies posted sixty-seven jobs in Connecticut in the week ending October twelfth, a fall of seventy-nine percent from three hundred sixteen postings in the prior week. The overall number of new job postings in Connecticut fell twenty-three percent, from three thousand forty-six to two thousand three hundred sixty.

The fall in CooperCompanies postings represents a small base. With only sixty-seven postings in the latest week, a small number of additional postings could make the percentage change look like noise. For example, if CooperCompanies had posted only ten more jobs, the percentage change would be much smaller.

Domino's added one hundred twelve job postings, and Henny Penny added fifty-six job postings. General Dynamics Electric Boat saw a rise of fifty-six percent in postings, from thirty-four to fifty-three.
