South Africa job postings rise 19% in seven days

Job postings in South Africa rose by nineteen percent in the last seven days. The number of postings increased from nine hundred seventy one to one thousand one hundred fifty four. This rise may reflect increased employer demand for tech roles, as software engineers, full stack engineers, and data engineers were among the top roles posted in South Africa.

In contrast, the overall number of new job postings across all countries fell by thirty four percent in the same period. This decrease was driven by a significant drop in postings from fifty one seven zero nine four to three four three three five eight. China saw a surge of one hundred sixteen percent in job postings, while Kenya experienced a twenty nine percent rise.

The contrasting movements in job postings across different countries suggest varied market dynamics. While China and Kenya showed strong growth, the overall global decline indicates potential economic headwinds or a shift in hiring strategies.
