First, software engineer job postings in Massachusetts rose by thirty nine percent, from twenty eight before the period to thirty nine now. This change is the largest growth for any state in the last seven days. These figures come from a seven day window ending October fifteenth, two thousand twenty six.
Second, Utah saw an eighteen percent rise in software engineer job postings, adding two postings for a total of thirteen. Missouri postings for software engineers fell nine percent, from twenty three to twenty one. Overall US software engineer job postings fell thirty seven percent in the same period.
The rise in Massachusetts could be due to increased hiring needs from companies like Teradyne and Formlabs, which posted four openings each. It may also reflect a broader demand for software engineers in the state's tech sector. The fall in overall US postings might indicate a seasonal slowdown or a shift in employer priorities.
