Sentara job postings fall in Virginia

New job postings in Virginia fell by twenty nine percent in the last seven days. The total number of new postings dropped from seven thousand five hundred seventy to five thousand three hundred fifty.

Sentara posted one hundred fourteen jobs, a fall of thirty six percent from one hundred seventy eight postings the week before. This decrease may be due to seasonal hiring patterns or a shift in the organization's immediate staffing needs.

Other major employers also saw significant changes in their job postings. Sodexo and Outback Steakhouse posted new jobs, whereas The Kroger Co. saw its postings fall by fifty four percent. These shifts could reflect varied recruitment strategies across different sectors within the state.
