South Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Dakota Lead State Job Posting Growth

South Carolina, Puerto Rico, and South Dakota posted the largest percentage increases in job openings over the last 28 days. South Carolina saw job postings rise by one hundred thirty three percent, from six thousand three hundred thirty to fourteen thousand seven hundred fifty six. Puerto Rico’s postings grew by one hundred eighty eight percent, and South Dakota’s grew by one hundred forty one percent.

These states experienced substantial growth in job postings. This rise may be due to increased hiring activity in sectors like technology, with Software Engineer and Data Engineer roles appearing in South Carolina’s top roles. It could also reflect seasonal hiring patterns or specific economic developments within these locations.

The overall number of new job postings across the US grew by ninety six percent in the same period, from four hundred thirty eight thousand six hundred eighty nine to eight hundred sixty one thousand thirty nine. While these figures show strong growth, the base number of postings in some states can be relatively small, meaning changes could appear more dramatic than they are.
