MogiMissouri and Colorado Showed Growth in Software Engineer Job Postings
Software engineer job postings increased in Missouri and Colorado over a seven day period, while California saw a slight rise.
By Hannah Lindqvist, Mogi Research · Oct 17, 2026
Software engineer job postings in Missouri rose by fourteen percent, from twenty two to twenty five over seven days. Colorado saw an eighteen percent rise in software engineer job postings, from thirty three to thirty nine. California added job postings for software engineers, with a three percent increase, going from two hundred nineteen to two hundred twenty five.
These changes may reflect seasonal hiring patterns or a localized increase in demand for software engineers. It is also possible that specific projects or company needs in these states influenced the number of postings.
Moving forward, it will be important to watch if these states continue to show growth in software engineer postings. Continued increases in Missouri and Colorado could indicate a sustained demand, while California's modest rise warrants further observation.
