Job postings in West Virginia saw a significant rise over the last 28 days, with the total number of new job postings increasing by one hundred thirteen percent. The total number of new jobs posted went from one thousand two hundred sixty to two thousand six hundred eighty-seven.

Among the employers showing growth, Sevita added two hundred twenty-three job postings, a two hundred nineteen percent increase from seventy postings before. The Kroger Co. posted one hundred seventy-six jobs, a one hundred fifty-five percent rise from sixty-nine. FirstEnergy added forty-three postings, a fifty-four percent increase from twenty-eight.

This surge in job postings may be attributed to several factors. Increased hiring needs for seasonal work could be a possibility. It is also likely that these companies are expanding their operations or filling newly created roles within the state.
