By Marcus Bell, Mogi Research · Oct 20, 2026
South Dakota saw job postings surge by one hundred and fifteen percent in the last 28 days. This growth came from a base of nine hundred and five postings to one thousand nine hundred and forty seven. Oregon and Idaho also experienced significant growth, with one hundred and eight percent and one hundred and seven percent increases respectively.
This rapid rise in job postings in South Dakota may be driven by several factors. Avera Holy Family Hospital added two hundred and forty three postings, while Hy-Vee, Inc. added eighty nine and Domino's added seventy three. These employers could be expanding their operations or filling newly created roles.
The increase in postings for roles like Product Owner, Data Analyst, and Data Engineer in South Dakota might reflect a growing demand for specific skill sets. The surge in overall postings could also be a result of seasonal hiring patterns or a specific initiative by employers in the state.
