Staples Retail and Staples Inc. post surge in product manager jobs in Massachusetts

In the last 28 days, job postings for product managers in Massachusetts surged by 229%, with 92 new jobs posted compared to 28 in the prior period. This rise was largely fueled by Staples Retail and Staples Inc. Staples Retail posted six new jobs, a 500% increase from one previously, while Staples Inc. added 23 new postings, up 283% from six.

One could argue that the overall increase in product manager postings in Massachusetts is a sign of growing demand for these roles across all sectors. However, the data shows that the surge is almost entirely attributable to two specific employers, Staples Retail and Staples Inc. The figures for these two companies alone account for the vast majority of the reported increase.

The sharp rise in product manager job postings by Staples Retail and Staples Inc. may be a response to new strategic initiatives or a need to fill critical roles within their product development teams. It is also possible that the companies are expanding their product management departments to support business growth or to adapt to evolving market demands. These changes reflect specific employer actions rather than a broader market trend across Massachusetts.
