MogiSoftware Engineer Job Postings Edge Down in US
Software Engineer roles saw a slight decrease in new job postings over the last 28 days, while Product Manager roles increased.

New job postings for Software Engineer roles in the US edged down by three percent, from five thousand six hundred sixty five to five thousand four hundred seventy four over the past 28 days. This change follows a thirteen percent rise in new postings for Product Manager roles, which went from two thousand forty seven to two thousand three hundred nine. Full Stack Engineer postings also rose by four percent.
This slight fall in Software Engineer postings may be due to several factors. Employers might be adjusting hiring needs, or the crawl may have captured fewer new postings in this period. It is also possible that the focus of new roles is shifting slightly within the tech sector.
The breakdown for Software Engineer postings shows JPMorgan Chase as the top employer, adding six hundred ninety five job postings. California, Texas, and New York were the top states for these postings, with California seeing seven hundred thirty one.

Counts are job postings, not hires, from company career sites that Mogi's crawl found. Compares the 28 days to 2026-10-22 with the 28 days before them. Covers US, all states, all roles. Employers with fewer than five postings in the last eight weeks are grouped together and left out of the rankings. The company details come from the crawl's company profiles, where the crawl has one.
