Grainger software engineer postings surge in Illinois

Grainger posted a 150% increase in software engineer roles in Illinois over the last 28 days. The company added five new job postings, up from two previously. This surge is significantly higher than the 24% rise in overall software engineer job postings in the state during the same period.

JPMorgan Chase saw a fall of eight percent in software engineer postings, down to 37 from 40. Northern Trust Asset Management, however, posted a 67% rise in software engineer roles, adding two new positions to reach five.

The rise in Grainger's software engineer postings may be due to increased project needs or a strategic expansion of their tech team. The company's specific focus on Illinois for these roles could indicate a need for local talent or a concentration of their technology operations in the state. Northern Trust Asset Management's growth could also reflect similar factors, possibly related to new financial technology initiatives.
