By Patrick Doyle, Mogi Research · Oct 23, 2026
The United States posted 191,918 new jobs in the last seven days, a fall of seven percent from the previous week's total of 206,431. This change mirrors the overall decrease in new job postings across all countries, which also fell seven percent.
California, Texas, and Florida were the top states for new job postings in the United States. California added 14,916 new postings, Texas posted 14,536, and Florida added 9,436.
Software Engineer roles accounted for the largest number of new job postings, with 1,113 added in the last week. Product Manager and Full Stack Engineer roles also saw new postings, with 459 and 300 respectively.
The fall in United States job postings could be due to several factors. It is likely that employers posted fewer roles, or that the crawl captured fewer new postings during this period.

Counts are job postings, not hires, from company career sites that Mogi's crawl found. Compares the 7 days to 2026-10-23 with the 7 days before them. Covers all countries, all states, all roles. Employers with fewer than five postings in the last eight weeks are grouped together and left out of the rankings. The company details come from the crawl's company profiles, where the crawl has one.
