New job postings in California saw a significant increase of fifty-three percent over the past 28 days.
By Victor Lindahl, Mogi Research · Oct 25, 2026
California added job postings increased by fifty-three percent, from forty-six thousand four hundred thirty-nine to seventy thousand eight hundred sixty-seven. This marks a substantial rise in the number of new opportunities posted in the state.
This increase in California may be influenced by several factors. The state could be experiencing a seasonal hiring push, or employers might be responding to increased demand for certain roles. It is also possible that the crawl captured a larger volume of postings from major employers like Loblaw Companies, Macy's, or Domino's.
Nationally, overall new job postings in the US saw a fifty-six percent surge. Texas experienced an increase of sixty-eight percent, and Florida saw an eighty-two percent rise in new job postings during the same period.

Counts are job postings, not hires, from company career sites that Mogi's crawl found. Compares the 28 days to 2026-10-25 with the 28 days before them. Covers US, all states, all roles. Employers with fewer than five postings in the last eight weeks are grouped together and left out of the rankings. The company details come from the crawl's company profiles, where the crawl has one.
