New York saw job postings for Software Engineers increase by twenty four percent in the last 28 days. This rise was accompanied by an increase in Product Manager and Full Stack Engineer roles. The figures reflect job postings added between August 31, 2026 and September 27, 2026, compared to the previous 28 day period.
The overall number of new job postings across the US rose by fifty six percent in the same period. Texas and Florida experienced significant growth, with Texas postings up sixty eight percent and Florida up eighty two percent. California also saw a substantial increase of fifty three percent.
These changes may be influenced by several factors. Employers may be responding to increased demand for specific skills, such as those required for software development roles. It is also possible that seasonal hiring patterns are contributing to the rise in job postings as the year ends.

Employers with fewer than five postings in the last eight weeks are grouped together and left out of the rankings. The company details come from the crawl's company profiles, where the crawl has one.
