Job postings for Data Engineers in the US rose by three percent in the past seven days. There were 193 postings for this role in the most recent week, up from 187 in the week before. This change follows a three percent rise in total new job postings across the US, which went from 2,710 to 2,790.
Postings for Software Engineers also saw a five percent rise, while Product Manager roles fell by twenty-three percent. Data Scientist roles edged down by three percent. The number of job postings for Full Stack Engineers more than doubled, rising by one hundred and three percent.
The increase in Data Engineer postings may be due to ongoing demand for professionals who can manage and analyze large datasets. It could also reflect a seasonal uptick in hiring as companies plan for the upcoming year. The significant rise in Full Stack Engineer roles might suggest a growing need for developers who can handle both front-end and back-end development.
