Texas Software Engineer Job Postings Fall

New software engineer job postings in Texas have fallen by sixty six percent in the last twenty eight days. The state posted two hundred twenty four new roles, down from six hundred fifty five previously. This drop may signal a pullback in hiring by major employers in the state.

In contrast, California saw a rise of thirty seven percent in new software engineer postings, adding six hundred ninety nine roles. New York experienced a smaller fall of seven percent, posting two hundred thirty four new jobs. This divergence suggests varying employer strategies across different states.

Employers like JPMorgan Chase, L3Harris Technologies, and Fidelity Investments in Texas posted fewer software engineer roles. The reasons for this decrease are not certain but could include shifts in project needs or a more cautious hiring approach following a period of rapid growth.
