Data Governance Lead
About the job
Job Description
What You'll Lead
• Microsoft Purview Administration: Configure and administer Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, automated discovery, data classification, and continuous governance.
• Governance Frameworks & Glossaries: Oversee the enterprise data catalog, business glossary, metadata management, and end-to-end data lineage.
• Stewardship & Accountability: Work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and technical teams to establish operational accountability and strengthen data quality practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate cross-functional governance discussions and workshops, translating complex requirements into decisive, actionable policy.
• Sustainable Documentation: Develop frameworks, standards, and process guidelines that ensure long-term adoption and measurable governance success.
Who You Are
You turn governance from a static policy binder into a vibrant system people use every single day. You are just as comfortable configuring Purview settings as you are leading a workshop with executive data owners. You are a self-starter who experiments, learns quickly, and prefers taking full ownership of an outcome over simply completing assigned tasks.

• Purview Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and administering Microsoft Purview (cataloging, classification, lineage, and business glossary).
