Position: Software Engineer – Retail Investing Platforms (Paid Expert Interview) Type: Contract Compensation: $100–$120/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Participate in a 45–60 minute remote interview at a convenient time. Discuss how your team evaluated or shortlisted an external API or AI vendor . Share insights on integration success factors such as documentation, reliability, pricing, and support. Provide candid feedback on vendor offerings for retail-investing products. Share personal experiences and opinions without disclosing confidential information. Qualifications Must-Have Currently employed in-house as a software engineer, backend or integrations engineer, platform engineer, tech lead, or engineering manager. Work at a company serving retail investors like online brokerages or investing apps. Experience with retail product side integrations, not institutional or asset management. Evaluated or integrated a third-party API or AI vendor in the past 12 months . Involved in choosing the vendor, not just implementation. Based in the United States. Preferred Experience integrating market data, news, research, or AI chat features. Worked across different company sizes or seniority levels.
