Stanford Federal Credit Union
VP Enterprise Applications & Software Delivery
$210,000 to $260,000 a year
About the job
Vice President, Enterprise Applications & Software Delivery
Stanford Federal Credit Union is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Applications & Software Delivery to lead the technology platforms and engineering capabilities at the heart of our credit union.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this leader will have responsibility for SFCU's core banking and enterprise applications, software development, application integrations, and quality engineering. The role combines responsibility for operating highly available, business-critical banking platforms with the opportunity to modernize how we build, integrate, test, and deliver technology.
This is a leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable running the credit union and transforming the credit union. The successful candidate will bring strong operational discipline to critical banking systems while advancing modern engineering, quality, integration, and application-management practices.
What You'll Lead
• Strategy, lifecycle, availability, and continuous improvement of our core banking and enterprise application portfolio.
• Software development and application integration capabilities.
• Quality engineering, test automation, and release-readiness practices.
• Production application support, monitoring, incident management, and problem remediation.
• Major platform implementations, upgrades, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Application and integration architecture in partnership with Infrastructure, Information Security, Data, and other technology leaders.
• Strategic technology vendor relationships, performance, roadmaps, and escalations.
• Application resilience, recovery capabilities, and operational readiness.
• Technology portfolio planning, resource allocation, budget management, and investment recommendations.
• Development and growth of managers and technical professionals across multiple disciplines.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a technology leader who has operated critical enterprise applications while also leading meaningful engineering and modernization efforts.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, software engineering, application delivery, or technology operations.
• 5+ years leading managers and multidisciplinary technical organizations.
• Experience with highly available, transaction-intensive technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application management, software engineering, quality engineering, application integrations, and production support.
• Experience leading complex implementations, upgrades, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Experience managing strategic technology vendors and holding partners accountable for performance.
• Strong understanding of operational resilience, incident/problem management, software-development controls, and technology risk.
• Ability to translate between business priorities, technology strategy, operational risk, and engineering execution.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Financial-services technology experience is strongly preferred, particularly within credit unions, banking, payments, or fintech, including familiarity with core banking platforms such as Fiserv DNA or comparable systems and the technologies supporting deposits, lending, payments, and financial transaction processing.
Most importantly, we're looking for a leader who creates ownership and accountability: someone who understands that successful technology delivery does not end when a system goes live, but continues through its reliability, performance, security, supportability, and ongoing evolution.
